Bonneville had its second annual “Ski With Bonneville-Ski Bonanza” on Friday, March 4th and 5th at Park City Mountain Resort and Snowbird Resort in Utah.

We kicked it all off early with a delicious hot breakfast at The Legacy Café in Park City and spent the rest of Friday skiing and boarding the turf of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The sun was shining, the snow was soft and the lift lines were minimal. It could not have been better. While some of us insisted we push our limits and ski double black diamonds all day, others went for the more conservative approach and stuck to groomed trails.

Dinner Friday night was scheduled at J & G Grill at St. Regis Deer Valley. Check them out at Here. The favorite part of dinner, besides the food, was the few minutes ride up to the restaurant from the parking lot. You ride in a funicular with cool leather seats and huge windows to fully behold the breathtaking view of Deer Valley.

The awesome view as seen from the funiculars.

Another look at the funicular ride.

We sat at an enormous table and enjoyed several delicious appetizers while we waited for our food. The wait was worth it as the main dishes were stupendous. They had several dishes to choose from: Slow Cooked Salmon, Mashed Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Truffle Vinaigrette OR 8oz Filet Mignon, Roasted Mushrooms, Mashed Potatoes OR Grilled Clarks Farm Lamb Chops, Pistachio Pesto, Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The food was spectacular!

This was our table. We filled it up with people and food!

We all slept happy Friday night with full bellies and the hope that our muscles would be up for another full day of skiing at the Snowbird Resort up Little Conttonwood Canyon.

Saturday was kick-started with breakfast and then it was off to the slope for some more of the best snow on earth.

Thank you to all that came and we’ll see you next year!
